Extra Thing 1 : Metamorphoses

Before

Here we are again cam23 blogging - has it really been a year?  This time I am just doing the extra things although I am also trying out wordpress to blog for the cpd23 things. Currently preferring blogger.

The extra thing this week is beautifying our blogs.  So I took the blog I had before and changed the template to what I have now.  But I also went a bit more adventurous and actually chose my own background image from my holiday snaps.  But I didn't stop there, I went on to add some more gadgets to the toolbar.  A twitter feed (must start going on that again for the 23 things) and fish.  No particular reason for the latter but I went into the most popular widgets and there it was.  So I suppose if you are bored reading the blog you can play with the fish - they respond to the mouse although I couldn't get the green one to move!

  1. I too prefer Blogger to WordPress at present, but have been using Blogger for 3 years and WordPress for just 2 months.

I love your exquisite Roman floor. Where is it?

You still remain top of the Things parade with 'These are a few of my 23 things'!

  2. I'm surprised so many people are saying they prefer Blogger. I had used Blogger quite a bit but instantly preferred WordPress when I tried it last year. Find it much nicer interface somehow.

I'm impressed with you both taking on the 2.0 version (and cpd23 too??!). I'd love to but keep reminding myself I'm on leave for a good reason, plus cam23 ate up lots of my time last year (in a good way) so definitely don't have time or energy for that this summer! Good luck to you, will follow with interest.

  3. I am only doing the extra things and there are only 7 or so of them rather than 23 so hoping I can keep up! But whether I finish the cpd23 is another thing.
I am perserving with wordpress but just not as intuitive as blogger. I keep have to hunt around to find stuff.

  4. As for the Roman Floor - it is at Chedworth Roman Villa in Gloucestershire - not exotic! But I like it as it shows Winter in his "Birrus Britannicus". The hooded cloak that I am sure the Romans appreciated when stuck in cold, snowy Britain.
